Zepto is Planning to Launch its Cafe Dining App

Zepto is known for its super-fast grocery deliveries which is making a significant move in the quick commerce space. Zepto is introducing an independent app for its food-focused Zepto Café. This development comes as the Café segment experiences exponential growth. With over 100 new cafés opening every month across six major cities: Mumbai, Delhi, Bengaluru, Hyderabad, Chennai, and Pune.

Zepto Café Launch Information

Until now, Zepto Café is operated within the main Zepto app which allows their users to access grocery and café item in one place. However, Zepto’s co-founder Adit Palicha had recently accounced on X that the team is preparing to launch a dedicated app for Zepto Café. This application is expected to go live in next week.

They will release a minimally viable product and keep improving it based on user reviews. Adit Palicha has also shared, “It may not be flawless on the first day, but it’s essential to launch quickly”.

Despite of this, users will still have the convenience of ordering Zepto Café products through the Zepto App. Palicha explained that a separate app brings several benefits, including improved brand recall and favorable business economics. These factors make it logical to create a distinct platform for Zepto Café while retaining access on the primary app.

Zepto Café has been changing the food and beverage sector by offering items such as coffee, juices, snacks and meals. Currently, the café provides 30,000 orders daily by using 15% of Zepto’s extensive network of over 600 dark stores. Zepto aims to cover its entire network across 25+ cities in future.

Promotional Campaign and Goodies

Zepto café is also running a promotional campaign to celebrate the launch of its new app. It is starting from December 16th the company will be going to distribute four million Vietnamese Cold Coffees for free to their customers. Moreover, they are planning to diversify the menu with fresh offerings to attract a wider audience.

The food delivery industry is noticing a shift towards super-fast services, and Zepto Café is not the only application available in this trend. In October, Swiggy launched their 10-minute delivery with a new Bolt service. They targeted food items requiring minimum preparation, such as burgers, snacks, beverages, and Biryani. Moreover, Bolt focuses on fulfilling orders within a 2-kilometer radius.

Zepto Café’s decision is to create an independent app aligns with the growing demand for fast food delivery. The company aims to streamline its food services and build a stronger customer connection by establishing a dedicated platform. The move also positions Zepto as a serious contender in the quick food delivery market, competing with established players like Swiggy.

Zepto Cafe’s Strategies and Plans

Zepto is gearing up to make its mark in the food delivery space, with plans to scale its café operations across all its cities and introduce new menu items. The introduction of the new app and the ongoing expansion signal Zepto Café’s ambition to redefine convenience and speed for its customers.

Meanwhile, Swiggy’s success with Bolt demonstrates that quick delivery is not just a grocery trend but a growing expectation in other categories, including food. As the competition heats up, companies like Zepto and Swiggy are pushing the boundaries of innovation to meet the ever-increasing demand for speed and convenience.

Zepto Café’s rapid growth and the launch of its new app mark a significant milestone in the evolution of quick commerce. With its ambitious plans and customer-focused strategies, the company is set to reshape the food delivery landscape in India.
